Handicraft products are one of the key export products, one of the 10 industries with the largest export value in Vietnam. Especially the handicraft products made from: rattan, bamboo, sedge, duckweed, straw… are very interested and loved by domestic and foreign guests.

You may not know, water hyacinth is an aquatic plant, woody, living floating on the river surface. Each mature water hyacinth plant is usually 60-90 cm long. After harvesting, workers will cut off the roots and leaves and then dry them in the sun to make raw materials for knitting export items. From the bamboo stalks with the talented hands of the craftsmen here, beautiful and unique products have been formed.

To weave into beautiful handicraft products, the raw materials are all dried. Then, depending on the product, the small sedge and grass fibers are braided into long strings. Finished products are brought to the drying room and then dried in the sun to prevent mold. Then it is carefully labeled and packaged for export to many countries around the world, such as: Korea, Japan and European countries…
